The individual will be responsible for providing technical deployment/systems support to Corps and/or Division level Deployment Cells with the planning of detailed unit movement plans and schedules for Deliberate (long-range) and Crisis deployments involving equipment, personnel and materiel. Develops and maintains valid lists of deploying equipment (Automated Unit Equipment Lists – AUEL’s). Deploys to deployment base camps to support corps/division missions. Serves as a primary point of contact for all automated unit movement systems by answering, training, troubleshooting and fixing operator issues at corps/division levels.
Provides technical assistance on all aspects of deployment plans using the Transportation Coordinator - Command and Control Information System (TC-ACCIS); Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS); the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES); Integrated Computerized Deployment Planning System; Defense Transportation Reporting and Control System (DTRACS); and other information systems to move units through the deployment process. Develops Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) plans during Deliberate and Crisis action planning.
Provides technical oversight/assistance to Corps/Division units on the following: (a) development and maintenance of accurate Automated Unit Equipment Lists (AUEL’s); (b) development of the Deployment Equipment Lists (DEL) required to support the deployment (as derived from the AUEL) and the Commander's intent; (c) development of air load plans using the Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) and stow plans using the Integrated Computerized Deployment Planning System; (d) development of hazardous material documentation; Transportation Control Numbers (TCN); and (e) the requirements for movement of personnel and equipment via ground/rail, air and sea/inland waterways.
Serves as a primary point of contact for automated unit movement systems at corps/division levels. Answers inquiries emanating from organizational units at lower echelons, provides operator/user training on systems, and troubleshoots and resolves routine computer problems/issues.
Works with appropriate FORSCOM, JFCOM, and other DOD agencies to establish precise movement timelines, locations, quantities and destinations and transportation modes for personnel and equipment to be moved to the deployment Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Compiles, analyzes, interprets, and maintains data (JOPES, load plans, AUEL’s/OEL’s, DEL’s/UDL’s, TCN and personnel manifest) related to the movement of individuals and materiel, to include all modes, both commercial and military. Continually updates Command Group to ensure current TPFDD status.
Utilizes Command and Control Systems (C2) and Automated Information Systems (AIS) to generate and produce required reports and documentation for movement of personnel and/or equipment. Updates the TPFDD’s in accordance with established procedures. Reviews and edits TPFDD’s to ensure that all data is correct IAW established FORSCOM guidelines. Disassembles and reassembles standard automation hardware, prepares for shipment to deployment AOR, and then reassembles and reconfigures hardware and software for use at the deployment site.
NOTE. This is an Emergency Essential I Civilian (EEC) position and will require incumbent to deploy occasionally to deployment base camps.
Education Required: High School Diploma
Clearance Required: Secret
