Data Solutions & Technology CEO Presents at Technology Conference

(LANHAM, Md.) –   President and CEO Deborah Scott Thomas will present about Social Networking Technology at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 26-29, 2011. Scott Thomas is co-presenting with Alvin Hartley, President of HBCULINKUP.COM, and Lauren-Nikai Harry, a student at Howard University and the General Sales Manager of the University’s radio station.  They will present a session for secondary educators who are interested in learning about Historically Black Colleges and Universities and how these institutions use technology, including social networking, to recruit, support, and enroll students.

The site offers inner city junior high, high school and college students the opportunity to upload their academic and athletic profile. Students, parents, and school counselors can interact with several Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) through this portal. HBCULINKUP.COM serves as a vehicle for students to discover educational opportunities outside of their own community.
