New Vice President for Corporate Development Joins DST

(LANHAM, Md.) –  Data Solutions & Technology Incorporated appointed Robert Snyder to the new position of vice president for corporate development. Snyder reports to the president and chief executive officer. 

He is responsible for developing and leading DST into new markets and advancing the corporate capabilities in the areas of aviation management, renewable energy, and health care IT.

Snyder has over twenty years of experience in supporting federal government customers in the civil, Department of Defense, and Intel arenas.  He has been a strong advocate for the small business community and has held corporate leadership positions in both new and emerging small businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. 

As a founder of several successful small businesses, Snyder has led their efforts in year-to-year triple digit growth and has been sought after by the small business community as an advisor to new and emerging companies on how to achieve similar success. He was a member of the MindShare class of 2005 and has been active in several organizations to include:  Industry Advisory Council, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, and Air Traffic Control Association. His experience includes programs such as the IV&V of the FAA EnRoute Moderization effort.  This information technology program involved the review and testing of over 1.2 million lines of code and providing the FAA with monthly reports detailing recommended actions for program improvement.  Snyder was also responsible for the development and oversight of the VA Bar Code Medication Administration Wireless Security nationwide program and led the multi-vendor team during installation.

Snyder has spent his life in the local community and is a graduate of Frostburg State University.  Born in Hagerstown, Md., he and his wife now reside in Haymarket, Va.  He is involved in civic activities, his daughters’ schools, and church community.  He enjoys working with others in helping them reach their goals through mentorship and individual consulting.
