Deborah Scott Thomas, President and CEO, Data Solution & Technology Incorporated Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (D-MD) U.S. Representatives for Maryland's 4th Congressional District

LANHAM, Md.(November 4, 2013) — Deborah Scott Thomas, President and CEO, of Data Solutions & Technology Incorporated (DST) was recognized by the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce as the Business Leader of the Year.  The 2013 Excellence in Business Awards Gala was established to recognize and honor companies in Prince George’s County, Maryland that have shown outstanding leadership and philanthropy. The event was attended by 400 guests and held at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center at the University of Maryland at College Park.

A panel of distinguished judges selected Thomas from a group of esteemed business leaders in Prince George’s County. Selection was based on Thomas’ outstanding leadership attributes, corporate citizenship, a proven record of business accomplishments, and commitment to the highest standard of management.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be Prince George’s County Business Leader of the Year,” said Thomas. “It is always rewarding to be recognized by my peers because it shows Data Solutions & Technology is recognized for its business acumen in Prince George’s County and across the nation. The Chamber does phenomenal work in the community and I am proud to be included in this outstanding group.”

Noted dignitaries in attendance included Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (D-MD) both U.S. Representatives for Maryland's 4th Congressional District, and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker III.
